World Mediation Organization - Regional Representatives

Being a WMO Regional Representative means first of all, that the individual accepts the WMO Code of Ethics. Further, the applicant will receive a bi-annual newletter, namely: WMO Conflict Insight. This written communication will offer information on future events, will share summaries on past activities, and state academic and professional articles of outstanding experts.
Finally, all WMO Fellows will benefit of special prices requested for activities, such as the WMO Symposium and WMO Cisis Academy.

A future WMO Regional Representative (RR) has to be an academic and expert in the field of conflict resolution and negotiation. The main task of a RR is to promote a culture of peace by a) promoting the values of the WMO Coded of Ethics b) promoting the WMO-Online Training Program(s). This innovative multi-media online training of students is centrally managed by the head office in Germany, the RR is not involved in the long-distance educational process. In order to support the RR, he / she will receive a compensation of 25 % for each course (Online Training, External Certification Procedure, Virtual Internship) which was booked due to his / her marketing activity.

As the financial possibilities to book such a training vary throughout the globe, course fees may differ from country to country. This is highly important and may be understood as an outstanding service to the student. Due to the diverse financial power of citizens in their corresponding country, it seems to be mandatory to offer a local matching course fee.

Persons who would like to apply for the position of RR may send us their CV, a professional photo, and a motivation letter. On approbation, he / she may be appointed as RR and will execute, in a self-contained mood and by using his / her proper network of clients and conflict consultancies, his / her daily basis within the corresponding area. Entitled for application for the position of RR are academics of the field of Social and Political Science, Psychology, Law, Diplomacy and International / Foreign Affairs, Conflict Science and Resolution, and other related topics. Feel free to send us your application and to learn more about the benefits of our Training Program.
