My expertise and field of action: I have been a registered FINRA Arbitrator since 2007. Recently completed 32 hours of Mediation Training through New York Center for Interpersonal Development (NYCID). My immediate career goals, are to obtain credentials for a position with my current agency, Department of Homeland Security/FEMA. The position is with the cadre program Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). I am a clinically licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), graduated from the Silberman School of Social Work in 2012. Graduate studies were 2 years in a full-time classroom setting. Minor studies were the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) curriculum. I am also presently gaining Mediation volunteer and observation hours outside my employed agency. At least a 100 hours are required to be a qualified candidate for the FEMA ADR position. I a can, as needed, provide additional credential to support my eligibility for the WMO training opportunity.
My professional vision as WMO STUDENT: I am a high-level proponent of mediation and conflict resolution. As stated in my expertise bio personal data. Current career opportunities are the immediate term. My long term view and goals are to fully participate in mediation both Internationally and locally, salary is not my priority. Being a compassionate and empathetic Neutral is. Conflict in any form creates enormous stress and effects many in their personal and professional lives. I have an interest in the City University of New York (CUNY) as I have completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies at their NYC campuses. CUNY is held in high regard both personally and professionally, I am grateful for the opportunity to attend their universities.
