Environment affects each person as does their upbringing. Traumatic or perceived traumatic experiences can begin at a young age and feature heavily in how any person manifests. In fact the idea of strong is subjective and dependent on which culture or even person you speak to to determine what is a strong personality or trait. Our whole existence is subjective so to understand another human we need to listen carefully to not just what is being said in words but actions and in the body language that they display. for sometimes the biggest learnings are in what is not said, in the silence and empathy that we can manifest in ourselves.

Yes Zoe, I totally agree. Words are often less important than understanding the reason why these words were chosen and most of all what they mean for the individual. I believe that this is the point were communication starts, and not only on the listener’s side, namely what words mean to the addressee.
