WMO Engagement
Research that does not look away. Field studies, case analyses, and grounded reflection on the conflicts of our time, written on every continent. The Conflict Insight Journal exists for one kind of writing: work that stays close to real conflict. Our authors write about water disputes and workplace ruptures, about post war reconciliation and digital escalation, about the conflicts inside families and the conflicts inside themselves. What unites them is not a school of thought. It is a standard of honesty. Every article passes peer review before publication, publication is never guaranteed, and quality is the only gate: not rank, not level, not name. Reading is free, always, with a free Reader account: one minute, one confirmation, and the whole Journal is open. Submitting begins at the Associate level. Those two lines will never move.
The Two Ladders Stated Simply
There are two ladders in this house, and they never merge. The first is your engagement level: what you contribute each year, and the services and access it opens. The second is your standing: what you have published, examined, and defended. The first is chosen. The second is earned, in public, by work, and it cannot be bought at any level for any amount. A researcher at the Associate level with seven published articles holds a standing the highest fee cannot reach. That is not a flaw in the structure. It is the structure.
· Free For everyone who wants to read the field honestly, before deciding anything. Reader is not a lesser level. It is the front door, held open, and no one is ever pushed through it before they are ready. · EUR 48 a year · pay what you can from EUR 18. The level that opens the one door that matters: the right to submit. The pay what you can floor exists so that no committed researcher is kept out by a number. Choose your own contribution from EUR 18. One click, no letter, no explanation asked · EUR 144 a year · exclusively for graduates of the Expert Training. The level of the formed practitioner. It cannot be joined, only earned first and then chosen. Your entry in the Mediators Directory comes with graduation itself and costs nothing; this level is the working life around it: the visible profile, the editorial priority, the standing presence in the house. A WMO Mediator stands in both directories: in the Mediators Directory as a graduate, and in the WMO Directory among everyone engaged in the house. · EUR 420 a year · open to WMO Mediators The level for the practitioner whose working life belongs, in part, to the WMO. The Fellow's chair at the Conclave is an observer's chair. The seat that speaks and votes is earned by published work, and the page on the Conclave explains exactly how. For the senior practitioner who wants their stone set permanently. By invitation or self nomination. Because this stone is set for life, we ask each Emeritus once a year, on the anniversary of their investiture, to confirm their contact details with a single click. A reminder comes thirty days before and again at seven. If a year passes without confirmation, the standing rests as dormant while we reach out through every channel we hold. No Emeritus name is ever deleted; should we lose contact entirely, the name moves, with honour, to the memorial section of the roll. The confirmation exists for one reason: so the WMO always knows where to send the honour.Reader

For Institutions
Institutional Associate · EUR 3,600 a year · fifteen named seats. Each seat carries full associate rights, including submission to peer review. Around the seats: a co-branded institutional page, one annual live briefing from the WMO practice, the institutional rate on the Expert Training beyond the seats, and fifteen percent off all books on any quantity. Further seats at EUR 240 each a year.
Institutional Fellow · Eur 12,000 A Year · Fifty Named Seats. Everything above, plus the standing right to commission a named Extended Training group for your people at the institutional rate, priority access to WMO consultancy at the reduced rate, and your logo on the partners page, with twenty percent off all books on any quantity. Further seats at EUR 240 each a year.
Both levels price a seat at EUR 240 a year, deliberately above the individual Associate, because an institutional seat is not an individual joining quietly: it carries the institution’s standing with it, the co branding, the briefing, the rates, and the name alongside the work.
One line governs both, and it is not negotiable: a seat with voice or vote in the Conclave, standing in the Journal, and every earned title of this house are never for sale, to any institution, at any price. Institutions stood beside the work. The work itself is earned by the people who do it.
What No Fee Reaches
Entry in the Mediators Directory belongs exclusively to graduates of the Expert Training. A speaking seat in the Conclave belongs exclusively to published research. Publication itself passes peer review and is never guaranteed to anyone. No engagement fee reaches any of these, at any level, and everyone can see that it does not.
