Terms and Conditions of the World Mediation Organization (WMO)
Last updated: 1.11.2026
1. Operator and Scope
The World Mediation Organization (WMO) is an international education, research and professional engagement platform operated by Daniel Erdmann, Hohenzollerndamm 182, 10713 Berlin, Germany (“Operator”, “we”, “us”). WMO is not a separate legal entity, association or registered membership organisation.
These Terms govern access to and use of www.worldmediation.org, user accounts, Professional Profiles, educational materials, publications and paid Levels of Engagement. Additional terms presented for a particular service or purchase may apply and will be identified before the relevant order is placed.
2. Eligibility and Account Information
You must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when creating an account or purchasing a service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Platform and Educational Content
WMO provides online information, professional engagement opportunities, publications and self-paced online educational content. Unless expressly stated otherwise on the relevant course or product page, educational content is accessed independently by the participant and does not include live teaching, individual tutoring or a guaranteed qualification, accreditation, employment outcome or professional result.
Descriptions of services, benefits, prices and durations displayed on the website at the time of purchase form part of the relevant offer.
4. Levels of Engagement and Duration
Paid Levels of Engagement provide the benefits described on the relevant website page at the time of purchase. Each paid Level of Engagement has an initial term of twelve (12) months, beginning on the date stated during checkout or in the order confirmation.
Before completing a purchase, the user will be shown the applicable price, benefits, term, renewal setting and, where applicable, the next renewal date and price. The user may choose whether automatic renewal is activated, where this option is offered.
If automatic renewal is not activated, the paid Level of Engagement ends at the end of the current twelve-month term, unless the parties agree otherwise. If automatic renewal is activated, the service renews in accordance with the renewal information displayed at checkout and applicable mandatory law. Any renewal and termination provisions for consumers will be applied subject to mandatory statutory requirements, including the applicable rules on contract extensions and cancellation.
The user can change the automatic-renewal setting in the account area, where available. A change will apply to the next renewal only if made before the applicable cut-off communicated in the account or renewal notice. The account area must clearly display whether automatic renewal is on or off. If a setting cannot be changed online, contact mail@worldmediation.org.
5. Fees and Payment
Prices are displayed on the relevant offer page and/or during checkout. Payments are processed through Stripe or another payment method expressly identified at checkout. The payment provider’s terms and privacy information may also apply. Any applicable taxes will be identified as required by law.
6. Profiles and Public Information
Professional Profiles may be publicly visible. Users are responsible for reviewing the profile information they submit and selecting or confirming which fields are made public through the available settings. Do not submit information that you are not entitled to publish. The platform should not make private account or payment information publicly visible.
7. Acceptable Use
You must not use the platform to: (a) violate applicable law or the rights of others; (b) upload or distribute unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, misleading or infringing material; (c) impersonate another person or misrepresent qualifications or affiliations; (d) interfere with platform security, availability or operation; (e) attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data; or (f) distribute malware, spam or unsolicited commercial communications.
8. User-Submitted Content and Publications
You retain ownership of copyright in content you create, subject to the licence expressly granted in the Copyright and Author Responsibility terms. You warrant that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit and publish your content. You are responsible for the content’s accuracy, originality, sources, citations and compliance with third-party rights and applicable law.
9. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, users or third parties, address suspected unlawful activity, enforce these Terms, or comply with legal obligations. Where appropriate and legally permissible, we will notify the user and provide an opportunity to address the issue. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
10. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, security measures, technical faults or events beyond our reasonable control may affect availability. We may update or modify platform features for legitimate operational, security or legal reasons. Material changes to paid services will be handled in accordance with the contract and applicable law.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or mandatory statutory liability.
For slight negligence, liability is limited to breaches of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) and to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract, to the extent permitted by law. This limitation does not alter mandatory consumer rights or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.
12. Withdrawal Rights
If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts. The applicable withdrawal information is provided separately. Any loss or early expiry of a withdrawal right for digital content or digital services is effective only if all statutory requirements are satisfied. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude a statutory right of withdrawal that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with the WMO Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
German law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which a consumer has their habitual residence. Where legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany. Mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.
