ReidBondMy professional focus lies in international relations, specializing in Conflict Resolution. In my final year at George Washington University, I continue researching civil liberties, human rights initiatives, and on-going peace-building efforts, specifically in Ukraine. Furthermore, My work with the Center for Civil Liberties of Ukraine has allowed me to work with pioneers in peace building initiatives. My analytical strengths lie in policy assessment, conflict analysis, and solution initiatives. I envision my work with WMO to serve as a platform for communication, learning global perspectives, and professional growth. I wish to leverage my passion toward a career in International Law. I would use my experience with WMO to develop, and forge professional relationships. As a beginner in the world of International initiatives toward peace, I will utilize any opportunity to grow and contribute toward WMO's goals of sustainable peace.United States (US)LucyBabafemiFelixDaemsFrench-Belgian national, growing up in Belgium, Australia, the Netherlands, France and now in Italy. I am fluent in French and English, with Italian in the works. In 2021, I completed a French Baccalaureate in Den Haag and went on to study Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. Today, I am a graduate public policy student at the European University Institute, STG. Through my passion for diplomacy, I spent a year conducting research and writing reports on Australian foreign policy for Anne Genetet, ex-member of the French National Assembly for the 11th constituency for French residents in 49 countries overseas. Still relevant today, I researched labouriously the ongoing negotiations and deals with NATO countries on military cooperation in the Pacific Ocean. Through my academic experience, I have used theory to connect and explain the deeper sources and implications of geopolitical disputes and have developed tools for modelling and comparing conflicts. My interest in joining the World Mediation Organisation is driven by my belief in the transformative power of culturally sensitive, inclusive, and comprehensive mediation practices. I strongly advocate for increased dialogue, empowering individuals at the local level while laying the groundwork for a more cooperative and interconnected global community. As such, the WMO's task ahead is enormous and I intend for my work here to be meaningful and cooperative.ItalyUnyimeMorganMy professional and research background spans mediation, intellectual property, real estate, and contract drafting and review. The nook and corner of the world seem to spew up violence and chaos. All the demarcation of the world and its continents has had its share of violence and terror. We have all seen, experienced, and endured pain and suffering, either caused by our own hands or inherited. Peace appears unachievable in a world of chaos and violence. Therefore, saying “A world without peace” sounds more reasonable than saying “A peaceful world.” However, peacemakers have not given up on the world! Mediators are called the Sons of God! Every resolved conflict moves us to peace on earth. “Every drop of water matters in an ocean.” The world can know peace, and “there is a possibility of Peace in conflict.”United States (US)BuliEdjetaBuli is a dedicated researcher and consultant specializing in resistance, peace, conflict, sustainable development, citizen engagement, and Horn of Africa issues.
